Romalita was born in Newark, New Jersey the eldest of three daughters. She is a hospital chaplain and former Civics/History teacher.
Romalita is a proud undergraduate of the
HBCU Morris College where she pledged
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
She graduated from Duke University Divinity School magna cum laude. She holds certification from Duke Divinity School in Black Church Studies, and she has also holds certification from the
Institute for Youth Ministry at Princeton University
in Youth and Theology.
Romalita is the founder of the Rockingham County Leadership Ambassador Program for young women and the chair of Rockingham Reads: One County, One Book. She is married to Dr. Stanley Harrison Jr. Together they have two beautiful daughters, a sweet Bichon Frisé, and an adorable calico cat.
Romalita loves classic films, rainy days, a cup of hot tea with a splash of lavender, lemon anything, old bookstores, the fragrance of gardenias, sunsets in autumn, and the anticipation of Christmas.
